The Great Indian Political Circus

Greetings! ladies and gentlemen, I am Vertika back with another rather 'to-be-expected' writeup, yet another day has passed and the great Indian political circus has proved itself to be as entertaining as ever.

Where else , if not in the great land of India would you find leaders in a democracy say , “Did what felt right, will keep it up” and before you accuse me of targeting one party, how could I forget, “We should avoid use of computers and English in India” and the multitude of such ridiculous statements made by leaders of all parties alike. But for the sake of living in the present lets talk about the recent entertaining acts that would make anyone, with a twisted sense of humour , laugh off their seats. However, this humour is for the select few who understand it to be so, because what else could it be?

1 - Renaming spree (The Contortionist Of The Circus)

Be it Allahabad to Prayagraj , Faizabad to Ayodhya , or Gurgaon to Gurugram or the proposals to rename Agra as Agrawal, renaming is in the air, because the development of the city is directly proportional to name change. Now there is just one teeny tiny concern, that being, why does it
seem like a clear attempt to intimidate the minority/ clear vote-bank politics/ clear anti-secular agenda? I must be thinking too much, since its definitely humour. I mean what else could it be?

2- Proud to be Indian (The Flamethrower Of The Circus)

We all are. Who wouldn't be? Except it doesn't make much sense but lets not go into that, since thats an entirely different topic. So for now, lets assume national pride is a completely okay thing. But theres a catch, according to the leaders and a large section of the public, you are not proud to be Indian, infact you are a total anti national even if u are a good taxpaying , law abiding, respectful , patriotic citizen. All you have to do, to be a proud Indian is accept that India was, is , and will be a Hindu country and get what “India” or “Indian” means completely wrong , shove nationalism down people’s throats, and be ready to spew hate against those who disagree and there you go, you are a proud Indian. However, again this seems very extremist and maybe even slightly Nazi. But then again, its just humour, because what else could it be?

3- The Clown (N/A)

Now I didn't need to say anything else about this act of the circus in the title. A circus is incomplete without a clown. But for any of us who have watched ‘IT’, clowns can be dark and indeed very scary, despite their friendly , jolly and cute look. The clown of this circus is undoubtedly the Hindu extremist group that the ruling party is lets say , in moderate terms, influenced by. And for a large section, the jolly look of this clown is deceiving but, its dark
side is that this clown, doesn't even want India. Because India is a secular democratic country , the clown doesn't want that at all. The clown has proclaimed that it is capable of creating an army , “better” than the Indian army in 3 days. Why exactly would any group , be allowed to create or have the capacity to create that. The clown is against what India stands for and it is taking into its clutches, the people, educated and uneducated alike.

Forgive me for I don’t find any humour in this. But for those of you that
do, well, what else could it be?

And so, ladies and gentlemen, these were the three highlights of the great Indian circus, a circus we don't deserve and asked for. If you think, they are a bit shady, no need to worry, sit back and relax like a large section is - its just humour, because what else could it be?😅

That'll be all for today, thanks for reading. Do check out our Facebook page. Share this article with your friends and family, do visit us again for more.
